The hood comprises a web (28) with at least one opening to be placed in front of the wearer's eyes, and a removable transparent visor (30) having a member for attaching it to the hood and/or helmet in a position in which its edges sealingly engage the web around the opening.

L'équipement comprend un casque (10) ayant une coque rigide et unrembourrage interne, une cagoule (26) destinée à séparer la tête de l'ambiance destinée à être enfilée directement sur la peau, et un masque respiratoire oro-nasal (20) muni d'un conduit (22) de raccordement à une source externe de gaz respirable et de moyens d'accrochage (16) sur le casque. La cagoule comporte une enveloppe (28) dans laquelle est pratiquée au moins une ouverture destinée à se placer devant les yeux du porteur et une lunette transparente (30) amovible munie de moyens d'accrochage sur la cagoule et/ou sur le casque dans une position où ses bords s'appliquent de façon étanche sur l'enveloppe autour de l'ouverture.
