[origin: EP0578844A1] The invention relates to a table with the following parts: an adjustable table top (2) with a guide-pin arrangement underneath the table top, a table leg (3) with vertically running guide-rail arrangement (18), in which the guide-pin arrangement is guided, and a table-top support (9, 9') connected to the table leg. The table top (2) can be adjusted from a horizontal working position supported by the table-top support to a vertical position and in the latter can be displaced along the table leg into a vertical rest position and vice versa. To obtain defined sliding, the guide-rail arrangement (8) consists of two rail sections (11', 12) arranged on two opposite sides of the table leg (3). The guide-pin arrangement (10, 10') consists of at least two pins (17), each one of which is guided in one of the rail sections. <IMAGE>
