Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0578853A1] A rotary machine with conjugated profiles in continuous contact comprises the following elements: a stator (2), the first part of which is connected to an intake line (16) and the second part of which to an outlet line (18) for a medium; two adjacent and synchronously contra-rotating rotors (11, 12) for delivering the medium from the intake line (16) to the outlet line (18); the rotors (11, 12) have profiles (E1, E2, E3, E4, T1, T2, T3, T4), the design shape of which is selected so that the said profiles are in continuous contact in the course of the rotation of the rotors (11, 12), in order to define chambers (28, 28a, 28b, 28c, 30, 30a, 30b, 30c, 30d) of variable volume, the chambers driving and compressing the medium and being expanded as the rotors rotate; a secondary line (19) for the connection of one of the chambers (31), in which an irregular pressure value for the operation of the machine occurs on one of the said intake or outlet lines (16, 18); the secondary line (19) being equipped with a throttle valve (22) for controlling the flow of the medium delivered from the chamber (28, 30, 31) to the intake line (16) or to the outlet line (18). <IMAGE>
