Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0579225A2] The box shaped container (1) is moulded from plastic and has three steps between the base and top lip. The top lip is flanged to the outside (2) with a second flange below the upper step (3). This enables the boxes to be stacked when empty, leaving one third of the volume for the folding lid (22). The sides of the box are slightly diverging to aid the stacking and can include transparent plastic window panels, either fixed or removable. The structure can include reinforcing ribs and mouldings to take separating inserts.
