Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0579555A1] The headlamp has a bulb (10), a reflector(20), a rear cover (30) and a front lens. A labyrinth path is formed in the rear cover to allow circulation of air inside the lamp to provide cooling. The cooling path has an air entry (32) at the bottom of the rear cover. The air inlet path has one or more elbows. The air passes through the circular labyrinth path (24) formed between the rear cover of the headlamp and the reflector. The air is then directed in an inward spiral. A separate circular labyrinth path is provided to extract the heated air which is delivered to the outside through an outlet near the top of the rear cover.
