Abstract (en)
[origin: WO9218761A1] The invention relates to a method and device for coldstarting of piston-type combustion engines. During a first step, the blocking of the fuel supply to the engine's combustion chambers is ensured during cranking of the engine, whereby air is compressed in the engine for the purposes of warming up the engine's combustion chambers by generated compression heat. During a second step, fuel supply is effected during further cranking until ignition occurs, whereby the first step is continued for a predetermined number of revolutions of cranking of the engine.
