[origin: WO9218298A1] The cold meat slicer proposed comprises a housing (2), a rotating circular cutter blade (15), a sliding carriage (3) which may be driven either by hand or by motor to execute a reciprocating motion and is designed to hold the meat to be sliced, and a control device (31) with which the carriage (3) can be switched, as required, between manual and motor-driven operation. In the optionally selectable motor-driven mode, the carriage (3) is driven by means of two parallel rocker arms (12, 17), a pusher arm (12, 17) and a puller arm (12, 17), which are coupled to each other and mounted to pivot about a common axis (13, 13') and which execute their motion only in planes which are parallel to each other.
