[origin: EP0581020A1] The invention relates to a device for tensioning at least one profiled strap element 3, looped around at least one tubular body 2, in a head part 4 which has, within a passage orifice 5, a resilient locking element cooperating with the profiled strap element. At the same time, a spring-loaded strap driver 7 which is pivotable about a centre of rotation 8 is provided. This strap driver 7 is mounted within a housing 10 in a spring-loaded sliding carriage 9. Furthermore, a cutting lever 11, pivotable about a centre of rotation 12 fixed relative to the housing and having a cutter 13, is provided in the region of the strap driver. A trigger lever 14 is pivotable about a centre of rotation 15 fixed relative to the housing, the sliding carriage 9 and the cutting lever 11 being actuable via this trigger lever. According to the invention, the trigger lever 14 is supported via a pivotable cam element 16 on a spring-loaded release lever 17 mounted rotatably in the sliding carriage 9, the cutting lever 11 being actuable via the pivotable cam element 16. <IMAGE>
