[origin: EP0581025A1] The invention relates to a heat insulation for pitched roofs, having insulating material arranged over the entire height between the roof rafters, having a trussing sheet which is arranged above the roof rafters and is in the form of a sheet which is watertight on the surface but permeable to diffusion, and having a room-side, barrier-type laminated arrangement. In order to improve the air conditions in the rooms located beneath and for better ventilation of the actual insulating area, the invention provides that the room-side laminating arrangement 5 is designed in a manner which is airtight but permeable to diffusion, such that the ratio of the diffusion-equivalent air-layer thicknesses of trussing sheet 3 and laminated arrangement 5 is approximately 1:10 to 1:20. <IMAGE>
