[origin: EP0581638A1] Connector comprising a male module (1) containing a series of electrical connection members, a female module (2) containing a series of electrical connection members, a latching key (4) having two branches (90, 91) each provided with ramps (100, 101) intended to interact with studs (29, 30) of one of the modules (1, 2), characterised in that it includes a body (3) having a cavity at one end intended to accommodate the male module (1) and, at the other end, a housing for accommodating the female module (2), the said body including two parallel ducts (65, 66) opening onto two opposite faces, each duct being intended to accommodate one branch of the key (4), the studs and the ramps (100, 101) being arranged in such a way that the key (4) can be engaged in the ducts through one or the other of the two faces of the body (3). <IMAGE>
