[origin: EP0581726A1] The tool for a chuck (tool-holding fixture) of a portable tool has a clamping shank (1) with, for example, in each case two axially closed locking grooves (2) and two rotational-driving grooves (3) which are axially open towards the free end of the clamping shank (1). After insertion of this tool into the chuck, locking bodies (10) cooperate with the locking grooves (2) and driving ridges (7a) cooperate with the rotational-driving grooves (3). The driving-side flanks (3a, 7b) both of the rotational-driving grooves (3) and of the driving ridges (7a) are provided with a larger face than the opposite flanks (3b, 7c), which enables an increase in the torque to be transmitted and, in addition, has a wear-reducing effect. <IMAGE>
