[origin: WO9219870A1] A work platform and scaffolding unit are disclosed. The work platform is made up of a number of scaffolding units assembled in various configurations. Each scaffolding unit has two posts (1) and at least two cross bars (2). The posts have a belled lower end (6) and a swaged top (5) which fit together to provide the assembly. Rigidity is obtained by two spaced apart points of contact in the joints.

On décrit une plate-forme de travail et un élément d'échafaudage. La plate-forme de travail est composée d'un certain nombre d'éléments d'échafaudage assemblés en différentes configurations. Chaque élément d'échafaudage comprend deux montants (1) et au moins deux traverses (2). Les montants présentent des extrémités inférieures évasées (6) et une extrémité supérieure emboutie (5) qui s'adaptent les unes aux autres pour former l'assemblage. L'on accroît la rigidité par l'intermédiaire de deux points de contact espacés au niveau des joints.
