[origin: WO9307937A1] A ski-binding has a front jaw, a heel-retainer and a linking element made of two partial sections. The front jaw is slidingly mounted in a guide rail fixed to the ski and can be set at predetermined positions. The guide rail has a locking element for fixing the front partial section. In order to allow the guide rail (7) for the front jaw (6) and the front partial section (3a) of such a ski-binding to be linked into a single unit for the purpose of transportation at the factory already, the front partial section (3a) of the linking element (3) has a covering (9) with at least two catching elements (9a, 9c) capable of engaging corresponding recesses (7f, 7c) of the guide rail (7). In vertical planes, the two catching elements (9a, 9b) work in opposite directions.
