A method and a device (10) for decorating objects (24) having a conical outer surface (20) with a decoration of an embossed sheet (22) are described, said embossed sheet (22) being unwound from a supply roll connected to a deflection roller (32), being deflected around the deflection roller (32) and fed to an embossing station (42) between an embossing cylinder (12) and a holding device or an object (24) with a conical outer surface (20) to be decorated. Es wird ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung (10) zum Dekorieren von eine konische Mantelfläche (20) aufweisenden Gegenständen (24) mit einem Dekor einer Prägefolie (22) beschrieben, wobei die Prägefolie (22) von einer mit einer Umlenkrolle (32) verbundenen Vorratsrolle abgewickelt, um die Umlenkrolle (32) umgelenkt und einer Prägestation (42) zwischen einer Prägewalze (12) und einer Halteeinrichtung bzw. einem zu dekorierenden Gegenstand (24) mit konischer Mantelfläche (20) zugeführt wird. Die Umlenkrolle (32) ist mittels einer zweiten Antriebseinrichtung (34) entlang einer kreisbogenförmigen Führungseinrichtung (36) bewegbar. <IMAGE> <IMAGE>
