The adjusting device is used to preset the clamping force generated by a clamping force amplifier in a clamping device. A threaded drive spindle (5), which is used to actuate the clamping force amplifier and is guided, for its part, in a hollow fast-motion spindle (4), carries on its circumference a radial projection (13) which is assigned stop pieces (18.1 to 18.4) which are arranged along the helical adjustment path traversed by the stop projection (13) upon rotation of the threaded drive spindle (5) in such a way that they are firmly held by an adjusting sleeve (21), depending on its presetting, either protruding into the adjustment path (14) so that they restrict by bearing on the stop projection (13), or are released for radial displacement, so that they can allow the stop projection (13) to pass. <IMAGE>

Die Einstelleinrichtung dient zur Voreinstellung der durch einen Spannkraftverstärker erzeugten Spannkraft bei einer Spannvorrichtung. Eine zur Betätigung des Spannkraftverstärkers dienende Antriebsgewindespindel (5), die ihrerseits in einer hohlen Schnellgangspindel (4) geführt ist, trägt umfangsseitig einen radialen Vorsprung (13), dem Anschlagstücke (18.1 bis 18.4) zugeordnet sind, die längs des beim Drehen der Antriebsgewindespindel (5) vom Anschlagvorsprung (13) durchlaufenen schraubenförmigen Verstellweges derart angeordnet sind, daß sie von einer Einstellhülse (21) je nach deren Voreinstellung entweder vorstehend in den Verstellweg (14) festgehalten sind, so daß sie durch Anlage am Anschlagvorsprung (5) begrenzen, oder zur radialen Verschiebung freigegeben sind, so daß sie den Anschlagvorsprung (13) passieren lassen können. <IMAGE>
