Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0582905A2] Fibres of this type essentially comprise an extended wire piece with hook-type deformations at both their ends. The main requirement for such fibres is that their configuration does not influence miscibility unfavourably, but, however, good bonding behaviour in the hardened material can be achieved, and that they can be produced cost-effectively. In order to achieve improved adhesion, there is provided, between the ends of the straight central portion (1) of the abovedescribed fibre, in each case a relatively short, corrugated intermediate portion (3) as a transition to the respective end portion (2). The intermediate portion (3) is configured preferably as a double corrugation corresponding to an extended S-shape. The bonding behaviour is improved overall by the corrugated intermediate portions (3) without impairments in terms of miscibility arising. Moreover, fibres of such a configuration can be produced cost-effectively in a single operation with the aid of punching wheels. <IMAGE>
