[origin: EP0583525A1] This boiler comprises an essentially parallelepipedal box (1) in which are mounted a furnace (2) and a set of vertical tubes (3) which serve as a heating surface and for heat exchange between the furnace and the water to be heated circulating in the tubes. On a first side (1a) of the box and on the greater part of the second and third sides (1b and 1c) adjacent to the first side, the vertical wall of the box is formed by a series of tubes (3a, 3b, 3c) which form part of said assembly of tubes (3); each interval (16) between the adjacent tubes of said series is made hermetic to the gases; on the fourth side (1d) opposite the first side (1a) and on the remaining parts of the second and third sides (1b and 1c), the vertical wall of the box is formed by a metal sheet (17), the vertical end edges (17b and 17c) of which are connected in a gastight manner to the end tubes (3b1 and 3c1) of said series of tubes (3a, 3b, 3c); a nozzle (11) for discharging the fumes is connected to the metal sheet (17); the rest (3d) of the tubes (3) are arranged in a number of columns arranged parallel to the fourth side (1d) of the box; a space for collecting fumes (9) is formed between this arrangement of tubes (3d) and the metal sheet (17); the furnace (2) of the boiler is arranged between the tube arrangement (3d) and the tubes (3a) forming the first side (1a) of the box (1). <IMAGE>
