[origin: JPH06166934A] PURPOSE: To enable high-speed control of a jacquard with compact constitution by impressing control voltage to piezoelectric transducers by each of respective knitting cycles in accordance with pattern data and applying desired displacement to guide needles. CONSTITUTION: The jacquard controller of a warp knitting machine 1 having guide needles 3, 4 and 5 mounted at guide bars 6, 7 and 8 constituted movably back and forth for the purpose of desired underlap and overlap by knitting needles 2 arranged in one row and a patterning device inputs the output signal of a rotating angle detector 14 to a computer 15 and outputs control signals via a control line 12 to the piezoelectric transducers 9 and 10 constituted as bending transducers disposed at the knitting needles 5 at each of respective knitting cycles in accordance with the pattern data of a pattern memory device 16 belonging to this computer 15, thereby impressing the control voltage to the transducers. The desired displacement is thus imparted to the guide needles 3, 4 and 5 and the jacquard is controlled.

Eine Kettenwirkmaschine mit Jacquard-Steuerung besitzt an der Legebarre (8) angeordnete piezoelektrische Wandler (10), die die zugehörigen Legenadeln (5) durch Anlegen einer Steuerspannung verlagern. Insbesondere sind die piezoelektrischen Wandler als Biegewandler (10) ausgebildet. Diese weisen einen plattenförmigen Träger (20) und mindestens eine auf ihm aufgebrachte aktive Schicht (21) aus piezoelektrischem Material auf. Der eine Endbereich (24) der Platte (20) kann in einer Haltevorrichtung der Legebarre (8) fest eingespannt sein und der andere Endbereich (29) die Legenadeln (5) tragen. Es ergibt sich eine sehr einfach aufgebaute Jacquard-Vorrichtung. <IMAGE>
