[origin: EP0584407A1] The present invention discloses an image receiving material comprising on a support an image receiving layer containing physical development nuclei and a top layer free of physical development nuclei on top thereof, the total solid coverage of both layers being at most 2.5g/m<2> characterized in that said top layer comprises a matting agent having a solubility such that 0.2g of matting agent can be completely dissolved in 10ml of an aqueous solution containing 1 mol/l of sodium hydroxide at room temperature within 10s or less.
