[origin: EP0584453A1] Pump for solid materials with at least one reciprocating piston which interacts in each case with a cylinder arranged axially in the displacement path of the piston, in which, in one end position of the piston, the working space is connected directly to a charging container, a slide-like shut-off valve is provided behind the cylinder in the direction of delivery of the piston, and also with a drive arrangement for the piston and for the shut-off valve, which are actuated by a control arrangement in such a manner that, during the return run of the piston, the shut-off valve is closed and, during the forward run of the piston, the shut-off valve is opened, the shut-off valve having a plate-shaped, longitudinally displaceable shut-off member which is guided in guides and the edge of which, which faces the piston, is designed like a cutter, the plate-shaped shut-off member being guided on the cylinder side by the facing end face of a pipe section forming the outlet opening for the cylinder and being guided on the opposite side with play by guiding sections which are spaced in the direction of movement of the shut-off member, and the guiding sections and the shut-off member or an actuating rod for the shut-off member being arranged in a space which is freely accessible from the outlet opening. <IMAGE>
