[origin: EP0584549A1] An anti-panic espagnolette lock for the standing wing of two-winged doors is provided with at least one espagnolette (6) retractable into its unlocking position as a result of the actuation of a lock follower and with at least one release (3) which is drive-connected to the espagnolette (6) via a driver and which, during the retracting movement of the espagnolette (6), moves out of the espagnolette lock on the end face and thereby presses the lock latch and/or the lock bolt of the passage-wing lock accommodated in the passage wing (23) back into its opening position. So that the anti-panic espagnolette lock releases the passage-wing lock even when there are different gap widths between the standing wing and passage wing, without the possibility that damage to the standing-wing or passage-wing lock will occur, the release (for example, 3) possesses a resilient over-travel greater in relation to the driver (for example, 20) loading it.
