Abstract (en)

The invention relates to a method for tapping individual optical fibres (6) from an uncut optical cable (8). A splicing sleeve (1) and a cutting sleeve (2) are arranged at a spacing (19) which corresponds to the required surplus length of an optical fibre (6). After removal of the cable sheath, in the cutting sleeve (2) the optical fibre 6 to be tapped is separated and drawn out from an opening in the cable sheath in the splicing sleeve (1), with the result that in this way the surplus length of the optical fibre (6) is maintained. After the splicing of the optical fibres (6) to be tapped, the opening regions (15, 16) are covered and sealed by means of suitable sleeves (1, 2). <IMAGE>

Abstract (de)

Bei der Erfindung handelt es sich um ein Verfahren zum Abzweigen einzelner Lichtwellenleiteradern (6) aus einem ungeschnittenen Lichtwellenleiterkabel (8), wobei eine Spleißmuffe (1) und eine Anschneidemuffe (2) in einem Abstand (19), der dem erforderlichen Längenplus einer Lichtwellenleiterader (6) entspricht, angeordnet sind. In der Anschneidemuffe (2) wird die abzuzweigende Lichtwellenleiterader 6 nach Entfernung des Kabelmantels abgetrennt und aus einer Öffnung des Kabelmantels in der Spleißmuffe (1) herausgezogen, so daß auf diese Weise das Längenplus der Lichtwellenleiterader (6) erhalten wird. Nach dem Spleißen der abzuzweigenden Lichtwellenleiteradern (6) werden die Öffnungsbereiche (15, 16) durch geeignete Muffen (1, 2) überdeckt und abgedichtet. <IMAGE>
