Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0584862A1] In an arrangement for assembling at least two source signals to form a multiplex signal, the source signals being transmitted from source modules (1, 2, 3), which operate independently of one another, to a multiplex module (4) in which they are assembled in predetermined manner to form the multiplex signal, it is provided for the ordered operation of the modules that each source module exhibits at least one memory, one read and one write counter, the counters operating independently of one another and generating the addresses during the reading-in and -out of data into and from the memory, that the frame-structured source signals are stored from a predetermined start address of the memory with the beginning of a new frame and the memory address of the end of the frame is marked by means of a flag bit, that the source signals are read out of the memory of the source modules in dependence on a clock signal supplied by the multiplex module and are transmitted to the multiplex module, that each source module supplies a reset signal after the marked address has been read out during the reading-out of a frame, and that each reset signal supplied by a source module sets the read counters of all source modules to the predetermined start address.
