The invention relates to a rotating anode X-ray tube whose anode (5) is connected to a bearing part (9) which can rotate about a rotation axis (16) and interacts with a stationary bearing part (8) in which a cavity (11) is located which extends in the direction of the rotation axis (16) and whose side walls can be cooled by means of a coolant circuit. Effective cooling, linked to a low pressure drop of the coolant, is achieved in that a heat sink (12) consisting of a large number of laminations (14) is provided in order to produce an essentially laminar coolant flow. These laminations (14) extend essentially on the axis and are in thermal contact with the side walls of the cavity (11). <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Drehanoden-Röntgenröhre, deren Anode (5) mit einem um eine Drehachse (16) drehbaren Lagerteil (9) verbunden ist, das mit einem feststehenden Lagerteil (8) zusammenwirkt, in dem sich ein in Richtung der Drehachse (16) erstreckender Hohlraum (11) befindet, dessen Seitenwände mittels eines Kühlmittelkreislaufs kühlbar sind. Eine effektive Kühlung, verbunden mit geringem Druckabfall des Kühlmittels wird dadurch erreicht, daß zur Erzeugung eines im wesentlichen laminaren Kühlmittelstroms ein Kühlkörper (12) aus einer Vielzahl von sich im wesentlichen der Achse erstreckenden Lamellen (14) vorgesehen ist, die in thermischem Kontakt mit den Seitenwänden des Hohlraums (11) stehen. <IMAGE>
