[origin: EP0584871A1] The invention relates to an X-ray tube having a transmission anode which comprises a target layer (which electrons strike in the operating mode and consists of one or more metals of high atomic number) and a carrier layer (which is connected to the target layer and consists of one or more materials of low atomic number).
