[origin: EP0585182A1] This apparatus is of the type comprising electrical drive means, the supply of which is dependent on a control cabinet connected to at least one viewing sensor detecting the position of the sheet. According to the invention, it comprises: - a horizontal frame (2) fixed to a central bearing (6), mounted so as to be freely rotatable about a vertical axis passing through the active zone (9) of the tool (10) and connected to drive means capable of causing it to pivot in one direction or the other over at least a fraction of a revolution, - a horizontal chassis (3) mounted so as to be transversely slidable in the frame (2) and connected to drive means capable of causing its translational motion in the frame in one direction or the other, - and, carried by this chassis (3), at least two conveyor belts (4) which are arranged in the extension of one another, there being provided between them a space (E) for the passage of the tool (10) or of the counter-tool (13), and which are connected to common drive means capable of imparting identical displacements to them in one direction or the other. <IMAGE>
