A suitcase with rollers, in which the rollers (2, 4) are held for the most part in recesses (6, 8) in the suitcase wall (9) and run on axles (10, 12) which are supported in bushes (14, 16) of elastomeric material, which bushes, in turn, are connected to the suitcase wall (9). According to the invention, at least one axle (10, 12) passes through the associated bush (14, 16) at such an inclination that the associated roller (2, 4) runs against the recess (6, 8) and is thus braked. A clamping device (26) engages on the extension (15, 17) of the axle (10, 12) on the inside of the suitcase, which clamping device can be actuated by a user in the sense of displacing the axle in the bush counter to its elastic restoring force so that the roller moves into a position of the axle in which it can roll freely. <IMAGE>

Ein Rollenkoffer, bei dem die Rollen (2,4) größtenteils in Aussparungen (6,8) der Kofferwandung (9) aufgenommen sind und auf Achsen (10,12) laufen, welche in Buchsen (14,16) aus Elastomermaterial abgestützt sind, welche ihrerseits mit der Kofferwandung (9) verbunden sind, durchsetzt erfindungsgemäß mindestens eine Achse (2,4) die zugehörige Buchse (14,16) unter einer solchen Neigung, daß die zugehörige Rolle (2,4) an der Aussparung (6,8) anläuft und somit gebremst ist. An der kofferinnenseitigen Verlängerung (15,17) der Achse (10,12) greift eine Spannvorrichtung (26) an, welche von einem Benutzer im Sinne einer Verlagerung der Achse in der Buchse gegen deren elastische Rückstellkraft betätigbar ist, so daß die Rolle in eine Achsenlage kommt, in der sie frei abrollen kann. <IMAGE>
