[origin: EP0585540A1] A screwing device has a part (10) rotatable about an axis of rotation and equipped with a polygonal projection (16). A tool part (3) with a cutout complementary to the polygonal projection (16) can be attached to the polygonal projection (16). The polygonal projection (16) and the tool part (3) exhibit a continuous longitudinal bore (18). A holding member (2) can be inserted through the longitudinal bore. Provided in the polygonal projection (16) is a transverse bore (20) which, on the one hand, is connected in the longitudinal bore (18) and, on the other hand, opens on the outside of the polygonal projection (16). A catch ball (22), which can engage in a catch aperture (28) of the tool part (3), is seated in the transverse bore (20). The holding member is a further screwing device (2) which can be drawn out of the longitudinal bore (18) and is rotatable in the longitudinal bore (18), and on the cylindrical circumferential surface of which the catch ball (22) bears on its inside and which thereby holds the catch ball (22) in engagement with the tool part (3). The transverse bore has (28) at its inner end a narrowing (24) against which the catch ball (22) comes to bear in its innermost position and which prevents the catch ball (22) from falling out of the transverse bore (20) and into the longitudinal bore (18) when the further screwing device (2) is drawn out.
