A colour-photographic recording material having at least one red-sensitive silver-halide emulsion layer to which a cyan coupler is assigned, at least one green-sensitive silver-halide emulsion layer to which a magenta coupler is assigned, and at least one blue-sensitive silver-halide emulsion layer to which a yellow coupler is assigned, and containing, in at least one of its layers, a hydroquinone diether compound of the formula I below and optionally at least one compound of one of the formulae II, III, IV and V given in the description, is distinguished by increased photostability of the image dyes formed on chromogenic development. <IMAGE> In the formula, R<1> is alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl; R<2> is H or alkyl; R<3> and R<4> are H, alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, halogen, alkoxy, aroxy, acyloxy, alkylthio, arylthio, acyl, sulphonyl, sulphamoyl, acylamino, sulphonylamino or nitro; R<5> is H, acyl or alkyl; X is -O- or -NR<6>-; R<6> is H or alkyl; n is 0 or an integer from 1 to 3.

Ein farbfotografisches Aufzeichnungsmaterial mit mindestens einer rotempfindlichen Silberhalogenidemulsionsschicht, der ein Cyankuppler zugeordnet ist, mindestens einer grünempfindlichen Silberhalogenidemulsionsschicht, der ein Magentakuppler zugeordnet ist, und mindestens einer blauempfindlichen Silberhalogenidemulsionsschicht, der ein Gelbkuppler zugeordnet ist, das in mindestens einer seiner Schichten eine Hydrochinondietherverbindung der folgenden Formel I und gegebenenfalls mindestens eine Verbindung einer der in der Beschreibung angegebenen Formeln II, III, IV und V enthält, zeichnet sich durch erhöhte Lichtstabilität der bei der chromogenen Entwicklung erzeugten Bildfarbstoffe aus. <IMAGE> In Formel bedeuten R¹: Alkyl, Cycloalkyl, Aryl; R²: H, Alkyl; R³, R<4>: H, Alkyl, Cycloalkyl, Aryl, Halogen, Alkoxy, Aroxy, Acyloxy, Alkylthio, Arylthio, Acyl, Sulfonyl, Sulfamoyl, Acylamino, Sulfonylamino, Nitro; R<5>: H, Acyl, Alkyl; X: -O- oder -NR<6>-; R<6>: H oder Alkyl; n: O oder eine ganze Zahl von 1 bis 3.
