Device for positioning a person, in particular a handicapped person, between a reclined position and a virtually upright position, with all the intermediate positions, comprising a frame (10) which is mounted in particular on wheels, characterised in that it comprises a horizontal seat (12) which can be moved, by first drive means (42), between two end positions, a reclining position and a raised position, a backrest (14) which can be moved, by second drive means (62), between two end positions, one horizontal, for cooperating with the seat to form a reclining surface, and the other inclined rearwards with respect to the vertical in such a way as to form, with the seat, a chair. <IMAGE>

Dispositif de positionnement d'une personne, notamment d'une personne handicapée, entre une position allongée et une position quasi debout avec toutes les positions intermédiaires, comprenant un bâti (10) notamment monté sur roues, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend une assise (12) horizontale mobile grâce à des premiers moyens moteurs (42) entre deux positions extrêmes, l'une de couchage et l'autre de relevage, un dossier (14) mobile grâce à des seconds moyens moteurs (62) entre deux positions extrêmes, l'une horizontale pour coopérer avec l'assise en formant un plan de couchage et l'autre inclinée en arrière par rapport à la verticale de façon à former avec l'assise un fauteuil. <IMAGE>
