The turning knob has a turning handle part (14, 7) which can be countersunk into the operating surface of a household appliance, the turning handle part (14, 7) being guided with positive-locking engagement in a bearing part (1) for coupling to a switching or adjusting member. Between the bearing part and the turning handle part there is a connecting link control (13) for the displacement movement and engagement of the turning handle part. According to the invention, a marking bearer (15) is mounted on the turning handle part so that it is relatively displaceable and can also be rotated. The marking bearer likewise protrudes beyond the operating surface in the actuating position and can be countersunk in the operating surface together with the turning handle part. <IMAGE>

Der Drehknebel besitzt einen Drehgriffteil (14,7), der in die Bedienfläche eines Hausgerätes versenkbar ist, wobei der Drehgriffteil (14,7) in einem Lagerteil (1) zur Kupplung mit einem Schalt- oder Stellorgan formschlüssig geführt ist. Zwischen Lagerteil und Drehgriffteil befindet sich eine Kulissensteuerung (13) für die Verschiebebewegung und Verrastung des Drehgriffteiles. Gemäß der Erfindung ist auf dem Drehgriffteil relativ verschiebbar und mitdrehbar ein Kennzeichnungsträger (15) gelagert, der in der Betätigungsstellung ebenfalls über die Bedienfläche hinausragt und zusammen mit dem Drehgriffteil in der Bedienfläche versenkbar ist. <IMAGE>
