[origin: EP0586881A2] A rotary web printing machine, for card printing and preferably operating in offset printing, uses sleeves for the plate cylinder and for the rubber-covered cylinder. The sleeves are preferably exchanged in the machine itself, one side of the plate-cylinder and rubber-covered-cylinder shafts bearing the sleeves being exposed so that the sleeves can be inserted through an assigned opening in the side wall. In accordance with the sleeve sizes used, the position of the gearwheels connected to the plate-cylinder and rubber-covered-cylinder shafts can be preselected in relation to driving wheels which are fixed to the machine and to the inking-unit and damping-unit applicator rollers, it being possible for the driving wheels connected to the shafts to be guided around the fixed wheels. For adaptation to the different sleeve sizes of the plate cylinder, the non-driven applicator rollers are also pivotable about assigned, driven, fixed distributor rollers. <IMAGE>
