A method is proposed in which, for selecting traffic information, a directional fan (30, 31, 32, 33) is input by operating a key (15, 16, 17, 18) of a cruciform rocker switch (8) of a broadcast receiver, the position (34) of the broadcast receiver is determined by the computer (5) using program comparison and identification methods, and the traffic information relating to the selected directional fan (30, 31, 32, 33) is output via an output device (11), for example visually via a display or acoustically with the aid of a speech synthesiser (7) via loudspeakers (10). <IMAGE>

Es wird ein Verfahren vorgeschlagen, bei dem zur Auswahl von Verkehrsnachrichten ein Richtungsfächer (30,31,32,33) durch Betätigung einer Taste (15,16,17,18) einer Kreuzwippe (8) eines Rundfunkempfängers eingegeben wird, die Positions (34) des Rundfunkempfängers vom Rechner (5) unter Verwendung von Program Comparison and Identification Verfahren bestimmt wird und die den ausgewählten Richtungsfächer (30, 31, 32, 33) betreffenden Verkehrsnachrichten über eine Ausgabeeinrichtung (11) z.B. ein Display optisch oder mithilfe eines Sprachsynthesizers (7) über Lautsprecher (10) akustisch ausgegeben werden. <IMAGE>
