Abstract (en)
A plasma display apparatus comprises a first dielectric substrate; a plurality of first electrodes extending in one direction on the first substrate; a second dielectric substrate; a plurality of second electrodes extending in another direction perpendicular to said one direction on the second substrate; a ridge defining a plurality of pixel areas and being adapted to provide a partition wall and fluorescent materials provided in said pixel areas; The ridge is fabricated by a diffusion patterning process by which a patterned layer of dielectric and an underlying unpatterned layer of dielectric are applied onto at least one of the substrates and the patterned layer formed with an image of said ridge is diffused into said unpatterned layer.
