Abstract (en)
The present invention relates to a vacuum electron tube including a cathode (1) emitting electrons to a collector (10), means (7) for focusing the electrons in order to concentrate them into a beam (13) and an output resonant cavity (8) coupled with the beam for sampling the energy from the focused beam. The cathode has symmetry of revolution about an axis. The beam is radial and is focused in a plane normal to the axis of symmetry of the cathode. Application to power electron tubes with improved lifetime.

La présente invention concerne un tube électronique à vide comportant une cathode (1) émettant des électrons vers un collecteur (10), des moyens de focalisation (7) des électrons pour les concentrer en un faisceau (13) et une cavité résonante de sortie (8) couplée au faisceau pour prélever de l'énergie au faisceau focalisé. La cathode a une symétrie de révolution autour d'un axe. Le faisceau est radial et est focalisé dans un plan normal à l'axe de symétrie de la cathode. Application aux tubes électroniques de puissance à durée de vie améliorée.
