[origin: WO9220405A1] A full face respirator having an optically transparent lens (40) panel which includes a shield (50) for protecting the exterior surface of the lens (40). The shield (50) includes an outer cover (60) adapted for attachment to the exterior surface of the respirator lens (40) and a means (70) for securely attaching the same. The outer cover (60) is made of durable, abrasion-resistant, optically transparent material capable of easy cleaning.

Masque à gaz couvrant tout le visage muni d'une visière transparente (40) dont la surface externe est protégée par un bouclier (50). Le bouclier (50) comprend une enveloppe externe (60) qui se fixe sur la surface externe de la visière (40) du masque à gaz et un moyen (70) permettant de fixer solidement cette enveloppe. L'enveloppe externe (60) est constituée d'un matériau transparent durable, résistant à l'abrasion et facile à nettoyer.
