[origin: WO9221434A1] The present invention is devices and processes for self-contained, time-released mixing of an aqueous solution, having three components: reagent (1) capable of liberating gas in the form of effervescent bubbles without the application of heat; microporous material (2) of predetermined surface hydrophilicity comprising pores generally transverse thereto so as to permit liquid or gas to traverse therethrough when said aqueous solution is added; reaction well (3) of sufficient volume to contain said aqueous solution, said reagent (1) and said microporous material (2), said well (3) comprising said reagent (1) and said microporous material (2) positioned such that upon addition of said aqueous solution, said aqueous solution permeates said microporous material (2), contacts said reagent (1), resulting in the formation of effervescent bubbles which are released through said microporous material (2).

La présente invention se rapporte à des dispositifs et des procédés permettant d'effectuer le mélange autonome et à déclenchement régulé par rapport au temps d'une solution aqueuse, les dispositifs comprenant trois éléments: un réactif (1) susceptible de libérer un gaz sous forme de bulles effervescentes sans application de chaleur; un matériau microporeux (2) présentant une hydrophilie de surface prédéterminée et comprenant des pores généralement transversaux de façon à permettre à un liquide ou un gaz de traverser ledit matériau lorsqu'on ajoute ladite solution aqueuse; une cuve de réaction (3) d'un volume suffisant pour contenir ladite solution aqueuse, le réactif (1) et le matériau microporeux, le réactif et le matériau microporeux étant placés dans la cuve (3) de façon que, lorsque la solution aqueuse est ajoutée, celle-ci passe à travers le matériau microporeux, entre en contact avec le réactif (1) et produit des bulles effervescentes qui sont libérées à travers le matériau microporeux.
