The invention relates to a high pressure discharge lamp having a discharge vessel (4) which is sealed at both ends and is enclosed in an outer bulb (1). Two glass tubes (8a, 8b) surround the discharge vessel (4) coaxially over its entire length and are used as bursting protection and as a heat accumulation tube. The glass tubes (8a, 8b) are supported by means of two ceramic holders (12) which engage in the open ends of the glass tubes (8a, 8b) and are fixed on the lamp framework (9). The ceramic holders are preferably designed in the form of a cruciform or ring, with a web. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Hochdruckentladungslampe mit einem zweiseitig abgedichteten Entladungsgefäß (4), das in einem Außenkolben (1) eingeschlossen ist. Zwei Glasrohre (8a, 8b) umgeben das Entladungsgefäß (4) auf seiner gesamten Länge koaxial und dienen als Berstschutz sowie als Wärmestaurohr. Getragen werden die Glasrohre (8a, 8b) mittels zweier Keramikhalter (12), die in die offenen Enden der Glasrohre (8a, 8b) eingreifen und am Lampengestell (9) fixiert sind. Die Keramikhalter sind vorzugsweise kreuz- oder ringförmig mit Steg ausgeführt. <IMAGE>
