[origin: EP0588270A1] 1.1. Apparatus for making wooden beams from planks (14) glued together. 2.1. An apparatus of this type having a support (1) and an abutment (2) for the planks (14) to be glued is known, in which the planks are pressed together by means of hand-actuated pressing spindles, the planks being aligned by means of a hammer. 2.2. To be able to manufacture wooden beams simply and inexpensively and with a high degree of accuracy, there is proposed an L-shaped bridge (5) which can travel along the apparatus and in which horizontal pressure cylinders (16) and vertical pressure cylinders (10) for pressing together and aligning the planks (14) are arranged. <IMAGE>
