[origin: EP0588622A1] The invention relates to the use of hydrophobic peroxyacids having a smallest cross-sectional area of from 30-80 ANGSTROM <2> for the bleaching of stains, especially hydrophobic stains, with low accompanying dye damage; bleach compositions of these compounds for washing fabrics as well as to a process of washing fabrics with the peroxyacid.
