[origin: EP0588757A1] The boot comprises a lower shell (1) and an upper (boot leg) (4), articulated on the lower shell and consisting of an inner part (5) extending over approximately 3/4 of the circumference of the leg, on the inner side of the boot, and of an outer part (6). These two parts are applied edge-to-edge, one against the other, along a closure line (7), in order to form a collar. The boot comprises a lateral closure device (12) and gripping means (11) capable of occupying a relaxation position. A mechanical link (18) between the lateral closure device and the gripping means can ensure the simultaneous nature of the transition of the gripping means to the relaxation position and the opening of the lateral closure device. Opening up of the upper and the relaxation or walking position is obtained without reduction in the rigidity of the upper on the inner side. <IMAGE>
