[origin: WO9214981A1] This invention relates to a heat exchanger located in a wall (20, 21) and comprising a plurality of channels A and B. The channels A and B are formed so that rotation thereof causes air to be pumped into the channels along a first communication way defined by the channels A for relatively hotter air and along a second communication way defined by the channels B for relatively cooler air in contra flow. Heat is transferred across channel separating walls (3). The inertial force of rotation acts on temperature induced local density variations within the respective channels to rapidly take heated or cooled air from the boundary layer of the walls (3) resulting in bulk mixing with air in the respective channels.

L'invention concerne un échangeur de chaleur situé dans une paroi (20, 21) et comportant une pluralité de canaux A et B. Les canaux A et B sont formés de manière que leur rotation pompe de l'air dans les canaux le long d'une première voie de communication définie par les canaux A pour l'air relativement chaud et le long d'une deuxième voie de communication définie par les canaux B pour de l'air relativement froid circulant à contre-courant. De la chaleur est transférée à travers les parois de séparation des canaux (3). La force inertielle de rotation agit sur les variations de densité locales dues à la température, à l'intérieur des canaux respectifs de manière à prélever de l'air chauffé ou refroidi dans la couche limite des parois (3), ce qui a pour résultat d'effectuer un brassage général avec l'air dans les canaux respectifs.
