[origin: EP0589244A1] The invention relates to a method for monitoring and controlling the programme flow of a domestic appliance, the measurement data determined by measured-value transmitters being evaluated by electronics for the purpose of influencing the programme flow. To simplify and improve this method, it is proposed that the measurement data be recorded, in each case, only during one or more segments limited in time within a programme process, and that, during such a time segment, in each case only the rate of change of the data supplied by the measured-value transmitters is recorded and evaluated. <IMAGE>
