[origin: EP0589346A1] Noise protection wall element for roads, motorways, railway tracks and the like. A substantially rectangular frame can be pushed, by the edge, into the profile of two supporting posts (1), with the edges vertical, and can be locked therein. The frame has two vertical frame beams (2), a lower frame beam (5), a front stiffening beam (3) connecting the two upper end regions of the two vertical frame beams (2) and bearing against them, and a rear stiffening beam (4), likewise connecting the two upper end regions of the two vertical frame beams (2) and bearing against them, and being dismountably fixed. At least one substantially rectangular sound-absorbing panel (8) is inserted into the frame and held detachably therein. <IMAGE>
