[origin: EP0589425A2] The invention relates to a cooling device, particularly for air conditioning of rooms (1). The device is designed as a cold-vapour refrigeration machine with a closed circuit. As refrigerant, use is made of a mixture of a high-boiling first component (e.g. water) and a low-boiling gas (e.g. air) as second component. The working pressure is set in the closed circuit as an underpressure in such a manner that the boiling temperature of the first component lies below the temperature of the rooms (1) to be air conditioned. As expansion device, an expansion machine (5) is provided, which is preferably designed as a displacement machine. <IMAGE>
