Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0589770A1] The connector, which can be used in an environment subjected to vibrations, can meet with a complementary connector. It has a contact-housing body (12) which carries a threaded rotary locking ring intended to interact with a threaded part of the complementary connector, the ring being integral with internal toothing which has edges separating a gently sloped face from a steeply sloped face with respect to the circumferential direction, the body of the said connector being rotationally integral with catching (snap-fastening) means interacting with the bottom of the toothing in order to form a catching mechanism opposing the rotation of the ring in the direction of unscrewing, for which ring the catching means are in abutment against the steeply sloped faces. The catching means include a one-piece annulus (34) made of synthetic material and having an internal part for immobilisation with respect to the body (10) and an external part bearing teeth engaging with the said toothing. <IMAGE>
