[origin: EP0589866A1] The invention relates to a motorized bogie for electric locomotives, in particular high-performance locomotives, having a bogie frame (4) which is mounted in a sprung fashion on wheel axles and on which the vehicle frame is mounted in a sprung fashion, the travel motor (1) and the transmission (2) which is flanged thereto being arranged inside the bogie frame (4) and coupled at three points, the engine/transmission unit (1, 2) being coupled to the bogie frame (4) on the outside of the wheel set (3) with respect to the transverse central plane of the bogie frame (4) on two vertically extending spring elements (5), preferably leaf springs. <IMAGE>
