[origin: EP0714766A2] The device has a work station at which a hollow cylindrical screen (1) is supported via end bearings (5, 6) and rotated about its longitudinal axis (1b), with a machining table (14) displaced parallel to the cylinder axis and supporting a machining tool station with at least one jet (2) for directing a fluid onto the screen, e.g. a number of adjacent pressure jets. The drives (9, 10, 11) for rotation of the screen and displacement of the machining table are coupled to a common control device (4), which also provides electrical signals for operation of the jet(s) in dependence on the required printing pattern.
