[origin: EP0590258A1] A hinge fitting 1 for windows, doors or the like, which is used especially with a setting-out device for turn-and-tilt wings, is described. It consists of a hinge arm 7 which engages on the wing and which is connected to the first leg 9 of an intermediate piece 8, the second leg 10 of which is connected to the tab 6 of a sleeve part 4 so as, for the purpose of selective right-hand and left-hand fastening, to be pivotable through 180 DEG about an axis 11 directed essentially parallel to the longitudinal direction of the hinge arm 7. The sleeve part 4 is held by the joint pin 3 of a bearing block 2 which is mounted on the room-side end face of the fixed frame. The second leg 10 of the intermediate piece 8 is provided, near the region of transition in the first leg 9, along the longitudinal centre with a cutout or perforation, into which can be engaged a nose 15 set off along the longitudinal centre at the rear end of the hinge arm 7. The tab 6 of the sleeve part 4 can, in either of its two possible 180 DEG end pivoting positions, be fixed relative to the second leg 10 of the intermediate piece 8 by snap-catch devices, in each of which a catch projection engages into a catch recess. There is provided as a catch projection, on or in the vicinity of each transverse edge of the sleeve-part tab 6, a catch tooth projecting out of the plane of the latter towards the second leg 10 of the intermediate piece 8, whilst the cutout or perforation of the second leg of the intermediate piece is used as a catch recess. One catch tooth can be engaged in each case in the cutout or perforation and has a blocking flank which engages behind a longitudinal edge of the cutout or perforation and which blocks the reverse rotation of the sleeve-part tab 6 relative to the intermediate piece 8. <IMAGE>
