Abstract (en)
A control strip for controlling and monitoring the printing process, in particular on printing machines operating by the halftone process, is to be improved in terms of its usability with a different number of colours to be printed. The control strip according to the invention consists of a plurality of sets of measuring-strip extracts, the first set of measuring-strip extracts having the measuring zones for the respective colours, for example as full tone zones at the correspondingly provided places. The second set of measuring-strip extracts is identical to the first set of measuring-strip extracts as far as the position of the individual measuring zones is concerned, but in this case the individual measuring zones are designed as diagnosis zones with a particular raster or other structure. If fewer colours are printed than the control strip allows owing to a maximum number of colours being provided, no measuring zones need to remain unprinted on the printing carrier, but the corresponding measuring-strip extracts of the second set with the diagnosis zones of the colours not to be printed can additionally be copied with the measuring-strip extracts in each case of a colour to be printed on the corresponding film or the printing plate. Thus, for these colours, not only control zones of the full tone but also diagnosis zones are available as halftone measuring zones. <IMAGE>

Ein Druckkontrollstreifen zur Steuerung und Überwachung des Druckprozesses auf insbesondere autotypisch arbeitenden Druckmaschinen soll hinsichtlich seiner Verwendbarkeit bei einer unterschiedlichen Zahl von zu druckenden Farben verbessert werden. Der Druckkontrollstreifen gemäß Erfindung besteht aus mehreren Sätzen von Meßstreifenauszügen, wobei der erste Satz von Meßstreifenauszügen für die jeweiligen Farben die Meßfelder beispielsweise als Volltonfelder an den entsprechend vorgesehenen Orten aufweist. Der zweite Satz von Meßstreifenauszügen ist, was die Position der einzelnen Meßfelder betrifft, mit dem ersten Satz von Meßstreifenauszügen identisch, jedoch sind hier die einzelnen Meßfelder als Diagnosefelder mit einer bestimmten Rasterung oder sonstiger Strukturierung ausgebildet. Werden nun weniger Farben gedruckt als der Druckkontrollstreifen aufgrund einer maximal vorgesehenen Farbenzahl erlaubt, so brauchen keine Meßfelder auf dem Bedruckstoff unbedruckt bleiben, sondern es können die entsprechenden Meßstreifenauszüge des zweiten Satzes mit den Diagnosefeldern der nicht zu druckenden Farben zusätzlich mit den Meßstreifenauszügen jeweils einer zu druckenden Farbe auf den entsprechenden Film bzw. die Druckplatte mitkopiert werden. Für diese Farben stehen somit nicht nur Kontrollfelder des Volltons sondern auch Diagnosefelder als Rastertonmeßfelder zur Verfügung. <IMAGE>
